The role of beliefs (about self and others) in contributing to distress associated with chronic pain



The study aims to further understand the role that beliefs about self and others have on an individual’s experience of chronic pain, and the development of depressive and anxiety symptoms.

The aim is to clarify the role of beliefs as well as the role of acceptance of pain with a view to identifying relevant targets of psychological assistance for individuals with chronic pain

Participation in the study involves completing a questionnaire which you may discontinue at any time. This can be done on-line or a paper copy with a reply paid envelope can be sent. The questionnaire will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. A summary of the findings will be available at the conclusion of the study.

Inclusion:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have pain persisting for more than 3 months
  • Open to individuals living in any state or territory

Can be completed on-line or in paper form and returned via reply paid envelope
